Solus

Solus is an Irish artist who has twin visual obsessions... firstly with a half glass of whatever may be your favourite beverage - which to him is half full, never half empty - and its to this image he brings a positive, optimistic vibe that inhabits much of his work.

This signature glass with its liquid message of be happy, stay cool, is his veritable trademark of a drinkable style-flash - which he even extended to a wearable cotton patch. His other favourite obsessional motif is boxing.

There's a Jesus with boxing gloves, there's be-gloved boxing ballerinas, and there's a Joey Ramone - with boxing gloves of course. Strong women feature often, boxing-gloved... or with an avenging pistol. Spray paint is his essential tool, creating huge outdoor murals, indoor wall paintings.

But he's a style-master of other trades and skills too: Tote bags, socks, skateboards, t-shirts, beach towels, coffee mugs, notebooks, greeting cards, pillows....it's the prints that have the WOW factor!
